A Peek Inside My Personal Life
My husband Chad and I are living the dream in beautiful northeast Wisconsin, where we're blessed to call two teen daughters our favorite humans. Our firstborn embarks on her freshman year of college this year, which is why I need my friend Anne Watson to talk me off the ledge on our podcast, The Girlfriend’s Guide to an Empty Nest. Fortunately, my 15-year-old is still stuck at home with me, her dad, two naughty dogs, and a menagerie of reptiles because “parents should support their child’s interests,” said I, to anyone who would listen—before realizing that would mean living with a snake and seven lizards.
When I'm not at home writing or coaching or watching classic 90s rom coms with my girls, you'll find me at a coffee shop with a close friend, or at church, maybe leading a Bible study or editing a congregational devotion or hugging half the people I see. My heart is to help women craft a legacy one day at a time—making choices today that create the kind of tomorrow they want to leave behind.
Because here's what I've learned: legacy isn't accidental; it’s built through the everyday moments when we choose courage over comfort, purpose over ease, and faith over fear.
